Intermediate Plus!
I haven't had a chance to go into it properly BUT this book is definitely for those that know a little about this programme already.
This is indicated on the back cover ("LEVEL:intermediate/advanced")- not in the blurb!
Having said this the book is well written and does contain everything that director has to offer in a refernce form, not a tutorial manner.
Good - but not to start with
essential
This is an essential book for anybody who works with Director. The author really knows his stuff, and leaves no rock unturned. If you are a newbie to director and looking for a book with tutorials etc, this is probably not the book for you. Most of the examples are one framed lingo based scripts.
The information is presented in an easy to read format - and each topic is described in a clear and lucid manner. The tips and "did you know" sections that appear throughout the book are are wealth of knowledge that can only be gained through working with Director for many years.
What tickles me though, is after 800 pages of describing Directors funcionality - the cd rom is written in Flash.
