Discover the tantalizing details of Hollywood's famous and infamous fatalities
The death of a celebrity is often as fascinating as--and sometimes more fascinating than--a star's actual life. From the grisly end of Sharon Tate at the hands of the Manson family and the mysterious demise of Bob Crane to the peaceful passings of Lucille Ball and George Burns, The Hollywood Book of Death is a captivating and appealingly packaged volume of more than 125 television and movie stars' final curtain calls.
Arranged by manner of death, these well-researched accounts include details of celebrities' colorful lives and unusual deaths, their funerals, and the intriguing aftermath. With more than 100 rare photographs and a special "necrology" index of more than 6,000 stars and directors, along with a section revealing where Hollywood personalities are resting in eternal sleep, this enthralling reference promises to be on every film and television buff's "Top 10" gift list.

A Riveting Read
Biographies are my idea of a good read and especially any thing to do with Hollywood -having visited various Forest Lawn and other places to remember dead stars in LA I thought this would be a great book and give me the resting places to visit of my heros for future visits. I was not disappointed - 3 people in the house now reading the book and fighting over it -very interesting facts including the 'stars' real names, their lifestyles and their resting places -along with the true details of their demises -I would say anyone and everyone will find something in this book to their taste and requirements -highly recommended
Addictive reading!!!!!
From first impressions of this book - you may think MORBID but you would be wrong! Its abook about hollywood old & new - About stars that did live normal & die normal but stars (or forgotten) who er.... went differently of this planet!
Its great light reading! Honest!
james robert parish didnt make this cheap publishing - he talks about their careers with thought, he doesnt just go for the nitty gritty.
This is agreat book! Try it - you will like it!!
Goulish but fun!
If, like me, you skipped the Grayline Tour of the Stars Homes In LA in favour of the Graveline Tour (which goes to where clebs died, killed 'emselves, were murdered etc etc)...then ya gonna love this book!
When I got it I just couldnt put it down till I absorbed and memorised every last detail to entertain my friends at the lavish dinner parties I throw (you must come!).
There are few names that meant nothing to me, but on the whole it really is fun and makes a great pressie for anyone interested in hollywood and celebrity.
