The series picks up momentum
After a somewhat dissapointing second book, this instalement more then makes up for it with gripping scenarios, a sense of doom, florishing romance, political intrigue and heroism. Roll on book 4!
Young elven lord Kyrtian is considered eccentric by all of his fellow kind, due to his hobby of recreating war scenarios and heading them himself. Yet he keeps a deadly secret; the humans on his estate are not slaves and so they must be proteced at all costs. So when he is offered the position of general for the army to hunt down the Young Lord rebels he has to accept. But to his surprise he finds new allies, ones who are desperate for his help, but who can offer him a safety net for his own people. Together they can work together to overthrow the Great Lords, but the alliance will take time to form, as each party is dogged by people out for thier blood.
