excellent quick reference for the busy nurse4
I first saw this book when a student nurse came to my unit for a placement. it seemed to me to contain most of the information that is needed in a hurry for all sorts of situations. Since I bought it ,no less than 7 of my colleagues have also invested in this book. I have found it invaluable for checking information that it is impossible for anyone to memorise ,e.g.paediatric drug doses, the action of specific inotropes and the less common blood values. it has proved its worth in several emergency situations and i would recommend it to all nurses who need a memory jogger!!! Perhaps the next edition could include some blank pages for the nurse to enter any extra information he or she finds difficult to remember.

Small but useful4
This book is tiny, probably the smallest book I own. However it does have a lot of very useful stuff in it. It is American so some stuff is in different units, obviously this can be converted so not a major problem. Although I'd personally want to supplement this book with some of the stuff I usually forget, there's a lot of useful info in here. Its amazing how much there actually is in such a small book!

superb pocket book5
I purchased this book as a new starter in ICU. Found it extremely useful with the various little titbits of info that you need on a daily basis as an ICU nurse. I still use it almost daily 2 years on for reference. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
