Too boring!2
This book has a lot going for it, such as plot and setting. However, I feel that it is a wasted opportunity.
First and foremost, I found its characterisation very poor. The heroine is an annoying and rather simple woman who has all the depth of a puddle. The hero is not at all interesting and so badly developed I would have liked something bad to happen to him just to keep my interest. They have no chemistry. The sex scenes in this book are so hazy and indistinct, that for all I know they might have been dreams. Where I don't believe it absolutely necessary to have a sex scene, if you choose to have one at least make it clear what it is. I got the impression the author felt obliged to include them but didn't have the guts to involve any details, thereby rendering them flat. Since they had an effect on plot and character development (if there is any) it seems a tad ridiculous not to develop them any more. I could not believe in the love between the two protagonists.
There are no ugly people in this book, and I for one wonder why the author has recruited the cast of Baywatch for her novel.
I found myself growing increasingly annoyed with the amount of utterly useless talk going on constantly, and unnecessarily. If the time spent talking had been spent in creating real characters, and not the blatant stereotypes I found, then this novel could have been a success. As it was, it left me frustrated and disappointed.

Long awaited but disappointing2
I have long awaited for the next installment of Shannons Vampire stories.. however, its very disappointing.
Some the old characters return but the plot so to speak is non existant and the romance between the two main characters is over in a blink of the eye.. I am sad to say this is one book that I would rather not have bought. The whole book adds up to being very confusing
