holes in the halo
Everything has an energy which can be called the "spirit" or "soul" of a thing and it is very possible that this energy can leak out or dissipate from various methods, much like the earth's atmosphere is leaking out of an ever enlargening hole.
The author takes this idea one step further. Rather than plugging up the leaking holes as one would expect, his aim is to rip off the (false) exterior of the human to release this glorious essense to it's full advantage. Of course, this is a painful process full of dangers for the human involved which I found to be the most interesting parts in the book. Perhaps the pain and anguish has confused me and it is the other way around. You will just have to read it for yourself to find out?

Best book ever - alongside Santos's other book!
I'd give this ten stars - in fact ten thousand stars - if I could. Fantastic book. Completely changed my life. Brings together so many different areas - psychology, the body, energy, chakras, acupuncture, tai chi/chi kung, meditation, relationships, healing - all these and more. Anyone involved in complementary health should read it - and many in conventional medicine too (I'd guess you'd have to be a little more open in mind to read it from that perspective perhaps tho). Every time I read this book I see new things in it. And it's so easy to read too - written as a story of the author's journey with three teachers - which you somehow participate in as reader, making the book healing to read. Enjoy!
