Customer Reviews

Execlent and readable coverage of the subject4
I find the Marquess of Angleseys prose an easy read while conveying lots of information. This book covers the Curragh "incident" and the first few months of World War 1. There are plenty of photographs and line drawings. The tactical maps are good, but I found the overall strategic situation difficult to follow. One strength was that the focus keeps shifting from detailed discussions of a single action to broad sweep descriptions. This helps to keeps the readers interest.
