The History Of Landmines by Mike Croll, Asin 0-85052-628-0 Starting with the origins of mine warfare from the Roman period through to WW1 when they developed into the form that we know today. This is followed by detailed descriptions of modern mines, their types, deployment, detection and methods of clearance. It finishes with a look at the humanitarian issues caused by mines that remain in place long after the original conflict has ended.
A very good reference work and well worth a look if you are interested in mine warfare.
