About the Author
Karen Coumbe studied at Girton College, Cambridge and qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1984. She worked for a while in a mixed practice but then has started to work solely with horses in 1989. Since then she has become a partner in a busy equine practice and, in her spare time, writes veterinary articles for Horse and Hound and their Pony Club magazine.

Giving the basics
This book is great for giving a good overview of laminitis. It has pictures of extremes and is good for learning the basics.

I would say its good value for money. Its ideal for children from the ages of 12 upwards and also for adults just to get the idea of laminitis. However, if you need to know infomation in depth you probally need a more specialised book of horse's health care
