Does exactly what it says on the cover
This book is very much like what you would expect to come packaged with the software. It covers all the tools, menus and functions to show you exactly what does what and the effects you can achieve with them.

It's all in black & white but has numerous screen shots and everything is fully explained so it's very easy to work with. There's also a very handy glossary of technical terms as well as an appendix with all the keyboard shortcuts.

Overall this is a very good book for the price and an essential if you're new to Paint Shop Pro, but because it doesn't exactly teach you how to do stuff in easy steps and instead explains things in lengthy paragraphs, you might find that you'll need an additional `easy steps' book to take you through the process of various projects.
