Hottest, loudest and dirtiest of all, the Rolling Stones are still the biggest name in rock 'n' roll. The Rolling Stones Chronicle is the most complete record ever undertaken of the Rolling Stones' lives and careers, in an illustrated diary format from 1960 to the present day. Straight to the kernel!
Written with skillness, precision, and experience that only a real reporter is able to perform.I think thah every Stones' fan should buy and read this book, at once!
superficial chronology of the stones
Of course, when you want to learn more about the Stones, chronologies like this are quite valuable. Two such books (with different versions) have appeared now about the Stones but both these books lack coherency. They do not give a complete overview, many questions are left and quite a few mistakes were made. All in all this book certainly doesn't give you the impression that it was written by a fan, his heart doesn't seem to be in it. The only goal was to achieve more money, otherwise the release of this version would have only been in a few years. Unfortunately very few superb books have been written on the Stones so there isn't much else.
