The Best Rock & Roll Book Ever ?5
Books on rock bands rarely gives you the goosebumbs, but this one does. Barnes, a long time friend of the band, gives you everything you need to know and everything you need to see about what was probably the greatest rock band ever. Just like everybody should own at least a couple of Who - records, this is a must -have for any Who - fan: easy but detailed history of the band accompanied by a stunning collection of photos. You don't need to hesitate about this one.

A fantastic book, a must have for Who fans.5
Richard Barns has been a friend of Pete Towsnhend's since they were at college together. Barn's was with The Who throughout their carer, and gives a lot of personal input to the book. Great detail goes into the jourey of The Who, who became one of the largest bands ever. There are a lot of funny stories about the band, includuing the truth behond those Moon the Loon tales. As Barnes in such a close friend of the band's The Who have contributed to the book to give the most truthfull account of their story. Besides the fact that the biography of the band is well written and very detailed, The book is full of colour photo's to back-up the text. Many of which I had not previously seen.

THE BEST BOOK YOU WILL FIND ON THE WHO ANYWHERE5
Un-pretenscious, thorough, witty and a visual feast. Barnes's book will simply never be bettered, look at any Who books coming out now and they contain the same photos and annecdotes this book first used twenty years ago. His closeness to the band enables a truer portrait than anybody else could. If you love The Who you should own this, if you don't BUY IT!
