Average customer review:Product Description
The earliest of the four Gospels, the book portrays Jesus as an enigmatic figure, struggling with enemies, his inner and external demons, and with his devoted but disconcerted disciples. Unlike other gospels, his parables are obscure, to be explained secretly to his followers.

A new slant, bound to bring new readers to the teachings.
If you have received Cave's lecture on the nature of the love song, you will already appreciate how Christianity has informed the songwriter's work. As must be the intention, this bite-size, easy-to-digest chunk of Bible, might open minds to the teachings of Christ via a format appropriate to many who appreciate the artist but not necessarily the subject. I intend to read other books in this series.
If it's good enough for Nick Cave..
If it's good enough for Nick Cave to put his name to, then it must be worth reading. Literature that endures so long has value and worth as literature at the very least. I imagine most people's personal prejudices about what they think they know about Christianity will put them off reading it though.
