a lovely book in all aspects
I am a foster carer who cried when i read this book. I feel it fully illustrates the way a child who feels isolated and unloved feels. The illustrations are excellent. I have bought multiple copies to give to social workers and foster parents alike. My children and I all liked the story and felt it was an amusing concept of the complexities of Love.

lovely and beautiful
On the same lines as the Little Prince, it is delicate, simple but with a lovely naive message that is well worth sharing, very childlike and adult at the same time.

A simple, beautifully designed book which defies description
A very simple story of a little girl. But much more than that too. Every page is engagingly illustrated, with pop-up, cut-outs or quirky typography which captivates the reader. Not cutesy or fluffy: and not aimed at children. A book you will want to share with as many people as you can.
