Product Description

Snowblind is the true story of Zachary Swan, an American smuggler, whose intricate and ingenious scams made him one of the most revered and legendary figures in the cocaine world of the late Sixties and Seventies. For a few breathless years he ran rings around the police and customs officials.

From New York to Colombia, Swan enthusiastically plied his trade. Robert Sabbag’s riveting account of Swan’s brief career provides a compulsive insight into the cocaine underworld in which all the double-dealing, crazy characters and over-the-shoulder paranoia are captured brilliantly.

The result is one of the funniest and most illuminating books about drugs ever written ... a genuine underground classic.

This new edition is published as a companion to Robert Sabbag's blockbusting new book on pioneer marijuana smuggler Alan Long, Smokescreen, and comes with a specially commissioned introduction by another legendary smuggler: Howard Marks, aka Mr Nice.

Customer Reviews

Breathtaking5
This book is simply impossible to put down. Sabaag writes with a very sharp but dry wit that enhances the tale to perfection. Quite simply the best book I have read in years. Whatever your opinion is on drug smuggling etc, take time to read this book.

Simply a great book5
I bought Snowblind after reading a portion of one of the chapters in a "Rebel Inc" sampler. The story is gripping, you want to know exactly what Swan will do next to expidite his smuggling activities and the intricate nature of his schemes don't disappoint. There are lots of characters introduced, some of whome leave the scope of the book quickly, others are there right til the end ... all are essential by their relation to each other. I love it -- the first time I read it, I got to the end, and turned right back to page 1, it was simply that good. I'd give it 6 stars, if I could.

Cocaine from A to Zachary Swan5
The story seems simple; a drug smuggler on the loose doing what he does best and how he gets away with it. Snowblind writer Sabbag takes one mans adventures into the drug trade and traces the line of biography like no other. This is the only book on the crime & Cocaine business that you'll ever need to read. Faster than the rest, smarter than the best, an utterly truly fantastic read.
