A life worth reading
Honestly, I had never heard of Jessie Kesson before choosing to read this book, based on the fact she was Scottish and had written plays for radio. If you are looking for an uplifting biography about someone who has triumphed over extremely difficult circumstances in their life and never felt like she fitted in or even wanted to, whose belief in her need to write was unstinting and whose life has been sensitively portrayed by her biographer , you must read this book. It has left me inspired and more understanding of humanity.
