Behaviour Research and Therapy
"...clearly written, from a wealth of practical experience..."
From the Back Cover
Easy to read and illustrated with many real-life examples, this book addresses the specific problems faced on a daily basis by bulimia sufferers. The only self-help programme that has been evaluated in a randomised controlled trial, it provides detailed step-by-step advice for dealing with this condition. Unlike other less problem-oriented books currently available on the subject, this book concentrates on the key behaviour changes necessary for the sufferer to achieve a happier and more fulfilled life. Theory is closely interwoven with practice and the book draws together real problems and solutions experienced by hundreds of sufferers.
Customer Reviews
Excellent- what more can i say
This book is really good for anyone who is trying to recover from an eating disorder especially from bulimia. It is very easy to read and understand and very easy to realte to.
Brilliant if you are serious about recovery.
I am in recovery from bulimia and have used this book in my therapy sessions. It is very realistic but you have to be prepared to work hard and refer back to it often if you want to see results.I have had bulimia for 11 years and have tried many other self help books, this is the only one that has helped because it does not just focus on eating problems but also on psychological and life issues. However,it does work much better in the context of therapy or with a close friend who can help you through as the book itself recommends.
Very useful and encouraging book
I have an eating disorder, and am really going to depend on this book when I hit recovery. I am so pleased I bought it! Step by step encouraging things to do, simple and effective steps, realistic information. Shows I am not alone and that others understand.
