Customer Reviews

The perfect guide5
This book is great. Over the last nine months I have purchased many psychology books to help through my degree. This must be one of the best. I contains everything you need to refer to in a psychology degree. It has 32 chapters all very relevant and easy to dip into. A highlight of this book is that it looks at research relevant to the topic you're studying, gathers the evidence for and against it and then puts forward a concise evaluation.

I have searched in many books to find real meaty chapters on ethical guidelines from the BPS and data explanations (with the maths element of any course not being the highlight to must peoples educational experience)! Even the 'better' books I have haven't got the coverage of this book. For the price this book has everything. Ethics - all covered; experiment details - oh yes a book that explains variables, sampling, designs, and analyses in simple standard english!!! As for stats well, the book has them as well...and it explains them in detail and in a very simple form.

So you need a psychology book that will help you through A levels and undergraduate reference? Look no further this book will provide you with every thing you need. Michael Eysenck is a genius...or at the very least is really in tune with what the psychology needs as a non-disposable tool!

Brilliantly Presented5
This book has been useful for every aspect on my Undergrad. degree. Whenever I do not understand a concept, I look it up in this book, and it is explained very clearly, with appropriate examples and researchers. The layout of the book is clear and concise, perfect for undergraduate Psychology.

A Must For Students and Professionals5
This book is at the forefront of Psychology Textbooks and will always be usefull. The author goes into enough detail to give an educated understanding of the subject matter, without the need for lots of confusing jargon.

Each chapter is evaluated nicely and has plenty of diagrams, which is an important learing tool when trying to understand a subject that is so complex.

Where some authors feel the need to waffle on and use the most impressive wording they can think of, Eynsenck delivers an impressive textbook without the need for buzz words and wooly paragraphs. A must for anyone working or studying within psychology.
