a coffee table book to be proud of
With it's large size images and the clear and concise description of each painting and a little about the artist this is more than just an artists book. Anyone with any interest whatsoever in art will find this both educational and thought provoking through the carefully chosen 20th century works of art. Although the focus is on paintings there are more than a few sculptures and pieces of art using rarer media. Each piece is given it's place in history as the book moves in an (almost) chronological order.
