Editorial Reviews

From the Author
I am a Lladró collector and wrote this book for other collectors after having been personally frustrated by the dearth of in-print and readily available published information about this lovely Spanish porcelain. The book offers a handy historical timeline for the collection and its various brand names and series; complete informational captions to accompany the photographs (which are all in full color); and price and identification lists that include not only serial numbers and titles, but also brief descriptions of distinguishing features of the items listed (to help differentiate them from items of similar title or theme). Chapters are devoted to information on Lladró production and production history, special series and scultpures, care and restoration of fine porcelain, tips for detecting imitations and counterfeits, and suggestions for smart retail and second market shopping. The Appendix includes what I believe is the most comprehensive pictorial record of authentic Lladró core collection marks ever published, from old to newest. I am so pleased that this book has been made available to collectors in the UK!
