Brilliant!
I bought this book for my first year Biochemistry. Its fantastic from cover to cover! If you only buy one cell biology book buy this one. Its far easier to read than the others I looked at and its got the CD-ROM which is great to learn from!

Probaably, accidentally the best
The CD in the university library had 'accompanies book' on the label. Fortunately, I was not put off by this extended bureaucracy. The book was and is like a breath of fresh air. Subjects of each chapter are covered as if you have only the basics of biology, yet give the insight to so much further. Should teachers stand up and teach this way there would be no need for books. Perish the thought!
