Clivia - A review of the Genus in its many forms.
An entertaining book which covers not just the extensive species and varieties available but also tells about its history and some personalities involved. Should be enjoyed by novices and experts alike. Includes a source list and international contacts. Loads of informative and inspiring illustrations. Perhaps its weakest point, especially since colour is such an important factor in plant selection and identification, is the lack of a precise colour reference standard. I suggest that many would also find useful a tabulated problem finder.
Overall, a very thorough coverage of this increasingly popular plant around the world. As a grower of 40 years standing, I would thoroughly recommend it.
