a disjointed patchwork
I have read this book many years ago. It is not a very good time and money investment because it is just a patchwork of information found in the specialised litterature, with not much added glue that would make this book useful. And there are also lots of misprints in the formulas. The author could not even copy them without errors (or the Artech publishers were alseep). So just look at the references and go to the university library to have a look at the original papers. It will cost you less. If you want to understand RCS, read Knott and also Pistorius instead (for optical methods).
