a good read
This book gives you a very personal view on what magick training can be like and what it involves. The chapters in this book are really transcripts of talks Butler gave in the Ibis lodge, and so the style is quite informal, refreshing and here and there you can even laugh about a joke or anecdote.
What I like most about this book,is that it is far removed from other works which try to serve as a training course or are even so-called spell books. This book explains what you are going through once you have begun to train as a magician, which means it is more concerned with your inner development - an aspect often lacking in other works.
