This is an informative A4-size book that covers the entire history of the Avro Lancaster and its forerunner, the Manchester. Its 88 pages touch on the initial concept, development and testing, and operational use. There's a generous sprinkling of photographs, cut-away drawings of the airframes, diagrams (electrical and hydraulic), tables of weights, and bomb loads. The appendices include yet more performance and production figures.
