Synopsis
The provision of complete dentures can be challenging, time consuming and not always successful. Many of the problems can be minimized or avoided by good communication between the dentist and the patient, and the dentist and the dental technician from the outset of treatment. Topics such as loose dentures, painful dentures and broken dentures are discussed in depth while the patient orientated problems of aesthetically unsatisfactory dentures, dirty dentures and the generally "problem" denture are fully analyzed with accompanying suggested solutions.
