The businessman's guide to China
I used this book to plan my first trip to China and found it very useful background reading. The book contains an overview of each province in China, including the major cities. Each section had photos, a map and the latest economic news. Particularly useful were the tips on business etiquette and how to handle the local bureaucrats. On the negative side, it is a bit expensive so you might have to get your boss to buy it for you!
