I found this book invaluable when desperate for places to take family members - particularly in an area I don't know. It's become invaluable and I keep it in the car all the time now. I've found some fascinating places and things - a Viking Cesspit, a Savings Bank Museum, Pollock's Toy Museum .. it's terrific.
