Hoemeopathic alternative to Vaccinations
There is a lot of concern about vaccinations and these are not being addressed in public as virtually everyone has been vaccinated. If you have children or planning to or even if you are facing a decision to vaccinate to go to foreign climes then this book by Christina Head is a well researched reading - informative and well thought out by one of Britains leading homeopaths.

I'd like the facts not the propoganda please
Hopefully now that this book is a little out of date (new vaccinations are now available in the UK) the author will take the opportunity to correct some of the bizarre errors that seem to suggest that she (or her proof readers) were not really paying attention.

For example, Dr Hahnemann was born on April 10th, 1755 so it is unlikely that he developed homeopathy in the "mid-1750s". Another example is the reference to the book "Homeopathy and First Aid" by Dr Shepherd which does not exist.

The author seems intent on propoganda without much evidence to back it up - her conspiracy theory suggesting that governments routinely test vaccines on the general public while they 'cover up' the lethal effects is a bit over the top ! Also to suggest that only vaccines are dangerous and not all drugs is plainly ridiculous - the anti-inflammatory VIOXX was recently withdrawn due to suspected toxicity after several years on the market.

Ms Head also does not alert the reader to the dangers of using the wrong homeopathic remedy - the differences between disease remedies (nosodes) and vaccine remedies (tautopathics) are not made clear enough. Indeed, since these remedies should only be used under the supervision of a qualified homeopathic practitioner who can assess the remedies and potencies required, the whole point of a book for patients is a bit odd.

The case studies are interesting and I applaud the author's clinical successes, but she just gets too carried away with her own opinions and in the rush to convince the reader that vaccines are EVIL, does not bother to much with the actual facts.

Wonderful alternative to vaccines!
I liked this book so much that I bought several copies so I could give it to people who are interested in the vaccine debate.

She goes through many of the illnesses that vaccines are supposed to prevent such as measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), tetanus, polio, hib, and meningitis C strain. She describes each disease, and how it would progress if it were contracted by a non-vaccinated person. She then describes how it would be treated homeopathically. She's very honest about the fact that you must be an informed, proactive parent if you choose not to vaccinate. You will need to know what to look for if your child becomes sick, how to treat your child, and when to seek professional assistance.

She points out that anything the wild illness can cause, can also be caused by the vaccine. If a child is genetically predisposed to be susceptible to the disease, the child is also more likely to have a vaccine reaction.

She gives several cases of children whose health has been compromised by vaccines, and explains how homeopathic vaccine clearing helped them, normally to a full recovery. When she does this, she gives us some insight into the child's family tree, and why this child was more susceptible to a particular problem.

The final chapter presents the stories of several healthy children, why their parents chose not to vaccinate, and what the child's health is currently like. These are all happy stories.

Speaking from experience, my first-born son was vaccinated, which I deeply regret. He and I both paid a heavy price for that mistake. My second son has not been vaccinated, and he is the healthiest member of my family.

If you are considering vaccinating your child, I also recommend the DVD - "Vaccines: What CDC Documents and Science Reveal" by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny and the book "Vaccines: Are They Really Safe and Effective?" by Neil Miller.
