Everything you wanted to know about the carry on's. A book
filled with fasinating facts and statistics about the carry on films, tv,
stage and the team involved. Memories from many of the people involved in
the filming. Over ninty photographs and illustrations. Introduction by none
other than legend Jack Douglas and the foreword by Alan Hume whom worked on
twenty of the carry on films. This book has had excellent reviews from
Norman Hudis writer of the first six films, and also from the Western Daily
Press newspaper and from the home of the carry on's Pinewood Studios.
From the Author
The book is a statistical analysis of the Carry On films, tv and stage. It is different than all previous published Carry On books. That figures! - all about the carry on team with over ninty photographs and illustrations, also exclusive memories from the people involved. The book also contains technical data from the films. Six chapters covering 144 pages of facts 'n' figures. A must for all carry on fans and for people wanting to learn or research for Carry On university projects. Being the author I rate it five stars. Carry On Reading!
Customer Reviews
Fantastic Carry On Book
This book is an absolute must for anyone who has ever enjoyed a Carry On film. Filled with fascinating facts and figures, great stories and excellent photos and illustrations, this book provides a real insight into every single Carry On film ever produced. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in Carry On films.
What a lot of fantastic information
Just took delivery of this outstanding book.Where did Kevin Snelgrove find all this information from regarding everything you ever wanted to know about the Carry On films,I'm glad he did
because I have bought Carry On books before which were supposed to be everything about the Carry Ons but left you disappointed
with the information they didn't tell you and they were more
expensive as well.I suppose some people would call this the
"anoraks book of Carry On" but I don't care it is a very interesting read. Now all I'm waiting to get released is a DVD
of all the Outtakes & Cockups, with filming to such a tight time
span, there must be hundreds of feet of film waiting to see the light of day unless they were all destroyed now that would be a
shame.
The Carry On Book of Statistics
An excellent book on everything you ever wanted to know about the carry ons. Full of very interesting facts and figures and photographs of locations as they are now. This book is different than all other carry on books with list upon list of fantastic information. I would recommend this to anyone, makes an excellent present.
