Product Description

Tuulitastic sees Rankin taking a step back from his intensive schedule to reflect, and collect together his many different images of his favourite model, Tuuli. Featuring a combination of commissioned fashion, advertising and editorial, the book also includes intimate moments of the artist alone with his muse. Photographed over a three year period, Tuulitastic is an example of how one women's individuality can inspire and provoke where so many others have simply come and gone.

Customer Reviews

A Big Beautiful Book for a Larger-than-life Beauty4
The renown photographer and filmmaker known simply as Rankin chose a single model that inspired him beyond all others and devoted three years to her. Keep in mind that he had access to countless supermodels, actresses, and various starlets. But he chose Tuuli .. and with good reason. She possesses the flawless beauty of a supermodel capable of a wide range of looks. But it's her personality that shines throughout this work. She's no caricature - she comes off as vibrant, warm, and seems to possess an infectious sense of humor that makes her instantly likable. Yes, she's gorgeous, and is one of those rare human beings who could be described as physically perfect. She is an even greater presence photographed nude than with the latest fashions adorning her young frame. But Rankin shatters that air of infallibility, that we ourselves would adorn her with, and concentrates on her beautiful character that makes her much more accessible and perhaps attainable.

With dimensions of 32 x 25 cm, this is a big, beautiful book, well worthy of such a large and prodigious effort. Photographers, collectors, models, fashionistas, and most everyone will all be inspired by this most amazing publication.
