Editorial Reviews

Fortean Times, No 187, September 2004.
Replete with truly obscure cryptids, many known only from a single report. A superb fact-filled big format work.

Customer Reviews

Very, very interesting. A great read!5
This is a very interesting book on cryptozoology. It contains information on creatures still unknown to zoologists and the public. Despite having no illustrations and photographs - which would have made it more interesting, the dictionary is still a fascinating read. If you need to know about hairy beasts or sea monsters still lurking around the globe, this is the book to find information on them!

The Definitive Cryptozoology Dictionary5
This book is the best and most comprehensive dictionary of cryptozoology you could hope to find. It's not often you can call something perfect but this is one of those rare cases, trust me, being a Cryptozoologist myself I know what I'm talking about. The information inside is accurate and also as well as reference, great for bedtime reading too.

Ronan Coghlan also ensures that the dictionary is kept up to date with the occasional supplementary publication to the dictionary to add new or omitted cryptids to this already impressive volume the first supplementary book (Cryptosup) is also available (isbn: 0-9544936-4-8)
