About the Author
Richard Bass lives in Devon and has spent many years researching the links between American forces and the west of England during World War II. As a battlefield guide and historian, he uncovered the forgotten history of the U.S. Army Assault Training Centre where troops trained for
their spearhead role upon the beaches of Normandy. Three American units then asked him to write their wartime histories, their battles for Normandy and throughout Europe.

Nice book
Very interesting book. Reveals some ideas about the real training carried out for the D-Day. Back then it was possible to rip out some bits of information, almost without being noticed.
