About the Author
Tony Edgar, MB BS, MSc, FFPH Tony qualifi ed in Medicine from Newcastle University in 1971. After working as a principal in general practice in North East England, he undertook specialty training in public health in Manchester. In 1994 he was appointed Medical Director of the Fosse Health NHS Trust in Leicestershire; in 2002 he was elected Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. Matt Green, BSc, MPhil After completing his BSc in Biochemistry, Matt went on to complete an MPhil at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey. This involved working closely with medical professionals on a number of projects developing novel drugs for the treatment of ovarian cancer. For the last three years Matt has worked closely with prospective medical students assisting them in their applications and subsequent interview preparations. Matt and Tony are keen to share their respective experiences in supporting applicants to medical school.
