Useful.
Definately not a complete course in practical magick. Purist Golden Dawn style. Basically it gives the usual rudimentary rituals, Pentagram, Hexagram, Middle Pillar, Rose Cross etc. Then gives Invocations/Banishing rituals for Elements (not Spirit), Planets, Zodiacal Signs, and Sephiroth (not Daath), incorporating assumption of Egyptian God Forms, and Enochian Hierarchy including names from the Heptarchia Mystica, plus incorporates Enochian Calls. Useful if you want to use full ceremonial invocatios or banishings etc. Gives Talismans for every element and planet etc. (in colour). Useful for Golden Dawn style Enochian Planetary and Zodiacal tablets with flashing colours etc. including sigils derived from rim of Sigillum Dei Ameth as per the normal four Elemental Kings' sigils are usually. Gives apparently accurate Hebrew pronunciation guide (irrespective of Regardies comments on Ashkenasic and Sephardic systems) for almost all names in the book, also Enochian etc. Chapter on Evocation to Visible Appearence uses Poke Runyon's method of face distortion in the black mirror etc. not actual visible appearence. But does focus on evocation of Qulipoth, not Goetia. Gives corrected Hebrew hierachies which would definately be of interest to Evokers and the like. Includes ascription of Calls to Planetary and Zodiacal forces, which doesn't make much logical sense.
Definately worth getting for reference purposes, but remember thats it's pure Golden Dawn and therefore there's heaps of old school paradigmal ideas. But these are easily ignored unless you're into that kinda thing.
