Splendifferic Comes To Mind
The kind of book 'zines deserve. When I first started my zine, after a few issues I felt limited. After reading this(FOR THE LIKE, fiftieth TIME!) I got so much inspiration I knew it would last me a while. Grab this book while you can....its PERFECT!
The coolest thing around
I was one of those people who said, "What's a zine?" but when I picked up this book and took a look, I was hooked. It's all here for those of you who want to stay visually current! Yippee for Carlip and Block.
THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE!!
I am not kidding. For so long I've had so much to say and I never felt I had a place to say it. Until I heard about zines. But then I didn't have a clue how to start my own zine. ZINE SCENE is the only book I've found (and I've done a lot of research on this subject!) that gave me everything I needed to know about every single aspect of zines. From what they are, who's doing them, where to find them, all the way to design elements, what to write about and how to distribute (and so much more). Thanks to Hillary Carlip (by the way, her design work in the book is AWESOME!) and Francesca Lia Block (Weetzie rules!) for truly changing my life.
