Customer Reviews
An excellent new book!
A lecturer recommended this book to me, as I've been looking for a book that looks specifically at the role of the midwife in public health for ages- this is exactly what I was after! It's really practical and easy to understand- there are `examples of good practice' in each chapter which help to apply the knowledge to everyday practice. I can imagine this book being useful for pretty much all midwifery modules, I would highly recommend it.
Brilliant book!
I got this book on the recommendation of a colleague. It is definitely one of the best midwifery public health books i have read. It gives a good introduction to health inequalities and the midwifery public health agenda at the start of the book and the chapters are varied, with several pertinant topics included. Each chapter gives relevant key implications for midwifery practice, helping you to realistically think how to apply the discussion to midwifery practice. I would recommend this book to student midwives, to lecturers for suggested course material and any practitioner with a keen interest in public health.
