Product Description

This book provides statisticians and researchers with the statistical tools – equations, formulae and numerical tables – to design and plan clinical studies and carry out accurate, reliable and reproducible analysis of the data so obtained. There is no way around this as incorrect procedure in clinical studies means that the researcher′s paper will not be accepted by a peer–reviewed journal. Planning and analysing clinical studies is a very complicated business and this book provides indispensible factual information.

MD4
Interesting reading. However, if you are interested in observational studies, this is not the book for you.

Very useful5
This book is a must-have addition to any pharmaceutical statistician's library. It serves as a reference book as well as providing solutions for the most common (and some of the less common) sample size problems.

It comes with a CD (which I haven't looked at yet) containing all the tables and a free sample size program. Given the price for commercial sample size software, this is excellent value.
