Review
“With so many excellent aspects of implant dentistry covered in such great detail, it should be easy to see why I therefore recommend this fine textbook as a ‘must reference’ for any practitioner involved with the placement and/or restoration of implants. The editors are to be commended for their studious and detailed fine work.” (Implant Dentistry, April 2009)
"I would highly recommend this book to undergraduates, postgraduates, clinicians and researchers … .Who will no doubt refer to this text time and time again." (Dental Update, November 2008)
"This is a comprehensive textbook … it is useful to those at all stages of their under–graduate career." (British Dental Journal, August 2008)
Journal of Dental Research
This is now the textbook of periodontology/implantology with which others will be compared.
British Dental Journal
superbly presented and easily assimilated...To list the books strengths would require more words than I am allowed.

Great source to the general practitioner
This edition of the classic textbook is a great source of all the relevance aspects of the periodontal unit and a contemporary oral implantology. the auther, Jan Lindhe, is a well-known researcher and clinican, and he has published several outstanding publications that have brought him to the front line of this subject. The advantage of this book is combining the periodontics to the other aspects of dentistry: implentology and prosthodontics, occlusion, orthodontics and aesthetics. Moreover, This book gives the scientific background of the clinical guidelines. Another topic that this book covers is the relationship between the periodontium and systemic health of the individual - that has a potential to be the next public media issue.
