Thorough and accessible
I read 'BMAT and UKCAT Uncovered' prior to making my own successful medical application at Cambridge, and warmly recommend it for its detail and ease of use.

The first six chapters of the book clearly and methodically go through the skills required for success in the BMAT and UKCAT. They proceed from general explanations to specific worked examples using a reassuring written style and simple, helpful diagrams.

Importantly, a very generous amount of the book--about one third--is devoted to providing practice papers for both exams. Whilst I didn't sit the UKCAT, I did take the BMAT and found the book's questions were representative of that exam; if anything, the practice questions were a little more challenging than the real thing.

In summary, the publication is excellent value for money--especially compared with similar books on the market--and should be a part of any serious student's preparation for the BMAT and UKCAT.

a great purchase
I'm really glad I got this book. It guides you through the types of question that might come up in the BMAT and UKCAT tests and explains how you should approach them really clearly. It's a great confidence booster to keep a cool head in the exams.
There are loads of practice examples, and the book is also very user-friendly and quite relaxed - it's nice to know the authors have been through this themselves and so understand what it's like to want to do medicine and have to face these tests.
I really recommend it to anyone!

Really informative
This book shows you exactly how to answer all of the different types of questions on the ukcat and bmat and is very useful, i would have liked some more practise papers
