Customer Reviews
A stimulating and accessible introductory guide to philosophy.
Stephen Law, University of London lecturer and editor of THINK journal, has written a fascinating and accessible illustrated guide to philosophy. There are absorbing chapters on the history of philosophy, various branches of philosophy, a philosophy toolkit which explains how to acquire thinking skills and a useful 'Who's Who' summarising the lives and contributions of over 100 philosophers from Plato to Derrida.
This is one of the best introductions to philosophy that I've come across. Anyone beginning a course in philosophy or just wanting to gain some understanding of the subject could do no better than get hold of a copy of this intellectually stimulating and attractively produced book.
