Synopsis
Marie Clayton charts Marilyn Monroe's fascinating life, from her unhappy childhood, through her years as a superstar, to her tragic and untimely death in 1962. The collection of photographs documents the important events in her life: her marriages, her battles with the studio and her decline in health.
Customer Reviews
Good value for your money
I recently bought this book for 10 pounds and thought it was quite a bargain for a book of this size.
This book is almost 400 pages, but most of them are filled with big pictures.
If you want a biographical book of Marilyn, this is not the one to buy. Although it is divided into chapters, and each chapter starts with a couple of pages of Marilyns life in writing, it is not something you have not heard before.
It is the pictures that make this book worth buying. I recently bought, Marilyn Monroe Photographs 1945-1962, but was very disappointed beacuse I had seen all the photos before. Marilyn Monroe , Unseen Archives, has lots of beautiful black and white pictures I had never seen before.
Each picture has a comment, but the comments are the same as the text in the beginning of each chapter.
I would recommend this book, as it is filled with many beautiful and rare pictures of Marilyn, and beacuse it is well worth the low price!
