Customer Reviews
just what I needed
Don't listen to the reviewers listed here - if they are daft enough not to recognise a study guide when they see it, more fool them. These York guides are invaluable for students of literature, providing as they do chapter analysis, thematic ideas essay guides and so on. A very good starting point for analysing texts in a serious manner.
Literature students only!
I too thought I was buying the book, expecting margin notes or something similar. This is a guide to Brave New World, for those who do not wish to read for pleasure. IT IS NOT THE ALDOUS HUXLEY SCIENCE FICTION BOOK.
I rated it one star, but to be fair, if you know what you are buying it may well rate five.
100% dissapointment
This book sucks ... OK, it's not fair to say that because I didn't even read it.
The problem is that classics like Brave New World are published by various publishers, and I thought this was just yet another publisher publishing the same book.
But, this book is a study guide to the real book. This appears nowhere, Amazon did not provide any synopsis, I even tried to enter the publisher's site before ordering. It almost leads to think that they speculate in customers wrongly ordering the book. And it is too cheap to be worth the trouble of returning.
If you are looking for the real book, this is not the one, move along, don't waste your money.
Dissapointment 100% - if I could give 0 stars I would.
