THE KING OF CRIME BOOKS
I'm a mature student just starting out on a law degree after fifteen years away from study and I need all the help that I can get to get my brain working after all that time. Lectures overwhelm me with information and the textbooks add to it. What I wanted (needed!) was a textbook that made things clear without over simplifying them. I've tried several and this is certainly the best for helping me to understand what is important and why it is important. My understanding of the criminal law has soared since I've had this book - I undertanding oblique intention now and this was previously one of lifes biggest mysterys.
I'm also a huge fan of the practical advice contained in this book. As someone who isn't always clear about what lecturers want to see in essays, this book provides all that I need to know in a very clear and no-nonsense manner. I love the checklist of points that you need to know about each topic - that really helps me to make sure I'm covering all the right things. The key cases are great too becuase they draw your attention to the most important things that you need to know.
If you are struggling with criminal law, this book will help you enormously.
If your not struggling with criminal law, it will make your life 100 times easier and point you at ways that you can improve your marks.
Thank you
At last a revision guide that tells you what to do as well as what the law is. It's not exam time yet, but I'm using this already for seminars. It makes getting through all the material so much easier - especially since all our lecturers don't really explain much. The others in the series are just as good. I'm doing ELP, Crime and Land this year - so I've bought the Law Expresses for those too. I'll be getting contract and tort next year.
Excellent
I bought this book because I was struggling with Criminal Law. This really helped to explain difficult ideas well without dumbing stuff down and my marks are already beginning to improve as it tells you what to do with the law, not just what it is.
