Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
The creators of the award-winning Think of An Eel. Karen Wallace and Mike Bostock, turn their attention to one of the most fascinating creatures beneath the sea--the octopus. As Gentle Giant Octopus moves through her watery home, Wallace and Bostock capture the essence of the beast as she searches for a place to lay her eggs, allowing the reader to discover how she uses her tentacles, why she squirts ink and the incredible care she takes over her babies.

Stunning illustration and a subtlety of writing that delivers educational information in a comfortable and lyrical manner makes Gentle Giant Octopus a great book for sharing and learning together. (Ages 4 and over)--Susan Harrison

An informative book, beautifully illustrated5
This book would interest any child who likes sea creatures. There are plenty of facts about octopuses, poetically worded, and presented in small blocks (not huge chunks) of text. The illustrations are beautifully drawn and coloured.
