Quite simply, Whitaker's Almanack 2009 is the perfect book for anyone interested in current affairs and general knowledge. In its 141st edition, the book has been completely revised and updated, using the most authoritative sources available. The Almanack contains a comprehensive overview of every aspect of UK infrastructure and an excellent introduction to world politics. It will save hours of research and crossreferencing between different sources. New features include many more line illustrations and diagrams throughout; new sections, expanded conservation and environment articles, as well as new contributors such as Time Out's art editor. 'Whitaker's remains the most comprehensive compendium of information in the English language' Jon Snow

Whitaker's Almanack 2009
Whitaker's Almanack 2009 (as) ever is an indespensible handbook of everyting you would ever need to know. No reference Library of Office is complete without it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who runs an office as it provides invluable information on all aspects of official life from The Royal Household, Embassies, Government Offices and private institutions, clubs, schools and publications. My life would be a nightmare without the help of Whitaker's Almanack!
Excellent
Miss the info on politicians greed, otherwise as expected.
It is definetely British in approach, which makes it a needed compliment to the World Almanac and Book of Facts
