A-level student
While in its own this book would not provide you with anywhere near enough information,it acts as an excellent supplementary guide. It acts as a foundation upon which to build prepatory essays, as well as a revision source when coming up to exams. The book also provides many useful quotes from cases which, while aren't entirely necessary, do help qualify you for the higher grades. On top of this, you also get check points and practice exam questions with illustration of how the answer should be structured and answered, as well as examiner's secrets. I found most useful information provided for answering paper 6, the synoptic unit, which can othewise be diffucult to answer in a relevant and well-structured manner. The only flaw with this book is it does not give very many cases, and the ones in does provide are the most obvious which you probably will have heard of anyway.
Good but not thorough enough to pass alone
This guide offers a helping hand to essays more than anything and does not provide you with full notes needed for an A level course. However, it contains quotes which are extremely useful as well as some legal authority. It covers all topics quite simply but with some information that you may not have been aware of.
Being an AS level student, I have found this book a great help, but background knowledge is needed to understand it - you could not pass a Law exam by this book alone.
