After reading Paul Brickhill's book,"The Great Escape"I decided to read this book.It is exciting and brilliant.So anyone who is into war books,should read this!

An amazing true story and a book you can lose yourself in.5
If you want to get a real feel of what it was like to be a prisoner during WW2 then this is definitely the book to read. This amazing book gives you a feel of actually being there, the sense of hopelessness, the feeling of confinement, meagre rations, the need to escape and get back to England. It is one of my favourite all time books. Exciting and captivating. A thoroughly good read. Go out and buy it. You will not regret it!!

WOW what a book4
A fantastic read that gives a fascinating insight into the terror and desires of the captured prisoners of war. A great read, I read it in a day and was wanting to know more.

I have now bought the film version to see how it tranlsates on the screen.
