Inspired at last!
Having struggled to get anywhere while trying to write my PhD thesis, I stumbled across this book in the university library. I always think that a good book is one that makes you read more than you anticipated - this was certainly the case here! Dipping into this book inspired me to view my thesis as a manageable piece of writing, as opposed to the monster that it had become. The advice given by Wolcott is clear, realistic, and makes sense - an example of a book based in the real world, that actually knows what it's like to be drowning in qualitative data and struggling to write.
