Perfect for beginners
This really is an excellent book for beginners. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow with plenty of photos and illustrations of the various working stages and finished products. Some good tips in the introduction too. However I did find some of the ideas a little repetitious, a few of the flower projects could have been substituted with something a little more interesting. On the whole though, a good buy for kids.

Great for jewellery making but not much else
I was looking for a book for a boy who is just getting into model making and nowhere does it say that every project in the book is for jewellery making - I was really disappointed. However if your child wants to make jewellery then it's a lovely book, with easy to follow instructions and lots of photographs.
